I Did these 3 Things and Got 8 Hours of Sleep Every Night
In this fast paced stressful world, sleep has been one of my biggest issue. See, it is not that I can’t sleep. It is that I can’t sleep for more than 3 or 4 hours because I just can’t stop my brain from sleeping as well!
Overthinking has been a big issue for me and it has been the greatest contributor to my sleep deprivation.
Thankfully, I finally discovered a natural, non medicinal method to sleep soundly all night, every night. The best part about this is that no matter how stressed, tired, mad, or annoyed I am, it works every time!
If you are having trouble sleeping, here are the 3 things to do every night to get 8 hours of sleep. Remember to do this in chronological order for best results.
Step 1: Turn on Your Favorite Meditative Sleep Music
My favourite meditative sleep sound sountrack is from the youtube channel (SleepTube). This channel uploads smooth, calming, binural sleep music that is guaranteed to get you relaxed.
For me personally, I have been using this soundtrack as my queue to relax and get ready for bed.
Step 2: Sit Up and Close Your Eyes
This part is just magical. As you listen to the meditative sleep music, close your eyes and focus on your breath, you will instantly notice a sense of calmness. Everything and anything that was causing you to worry or overthink will suddenly disappear. Slowly and surely, you will find yourself sinking into your seat.
Continue to focus on your breath until you start dosing off. Once you start dosing off, it’s time for the next step.
Step 3: Lay Down and Reduce Music Volume
When you notice yourself dosing off, it is now time to lay down. Lay down and reduce the volume of the sleep music until you can barely hear it.
Continue to keep your eyes closed and focus on your breath while you are laying down.
If you do this correctly, you will be in realm just a few minutes (3–5 minutes or less) after laying down. Heck you won’t even realize you have fallen asleep.
The best part is that once you fall asleep, you will be asleep all night — I am talking about 7–8 hours of good sound sleep!
I have tried this sleep method for over a month and it as not failed me yet. The hardest part for me now when it comes to sleep is not the sleep, it is pushing myself to do these three steps so that I can get a good nights sleep.
Give this a try and let me know if it helps with your sleep!
